Here's what we're singing on Sundays:

11/28/2021

Come Thou Long Expected Jesus

Verse 1:

Come Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free
From our fears and sins release us
Let us find our rest in Thee
Israel's strength and consolation
Hope of all the earth Thou art
Dear desire of every nation
Joy of every longing heart

Verse 2:

Born Thy people to deliver
Born a child and yet a King
Born to reign in us forever
Now Thy gracious Kingdom bring
By Thine own eternal Spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone
By Thine all sufficient merit
Raise us to Thy glorious throne

Come Behold The Wondrous Mystery

Verse 1:

Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
In the dawning of the King
He the theme of heaven's praises
Robed in frail humanity
In our longing in our darkness
Now the light of life has come
Look to Christ who condescended
Took on flesh to ransom us

Verse 2:

Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
He the perfect Son of Man
In His living in His suff'ring
Never trace nor stain of sin
See the true and better Adam
Come to save the hell-bound man
Christ the great and sure fulfillment
Of the law in Him we stand

Verse 3:

Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Christ the Lord upon the tree
In the stead of ruined sinners
Hangs the Lamb in victory
See the price of our redemption
See the Father's plan unfold
Bringing many sons to glory
Grace unmeasured love untold

Verse 4:

Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Slain by death the God of life
But no grave could e'er restrain Him
Praise the Lord He is alive
What a foretaste of deliv'rance
How unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
As we will be when He comes

Our Rescuer

Verse 1:

He will have no home, no wealth, no bed

No place to lie and rest his head

To leave the glory of heaven’s throne,

To come and make this world his home

Verse 2:

He will not come with sword or spear,

He will wipe away our every tear

And like no other king before

He has come to us a baby boy

Chorus:

Our rescuer, Emmanuel,

Our God has come to us

Rejoice, O sing, for God our King has made a way for us

Verse 3:

The blind will see, the lame will walk

The dead are raised, the mute will talk

Every empty soul he came to fill,

Every broken heart he came to heal

Chorus:

Our rescuer, Emmanuel,

Our God has come to us

Rejoice, O sing, for God our King has made a way for us

Verse 4:

A cross to carry, thorns to wear

All my sin He came to bear;

And bowing to the Father’s will,

With a final breath the earth stood still

Verse 5:

As redemption rose at break of day

Every curse of sin stayed in the grave;

Honor, glory be to Christ,

Forever to our Lord on high!

Chorus:

Our rescuer, Emmanuel,

Our God has come to us

Rejoice, O sing, for God our King has made a way for us

Our rescuer, Emmanuel,

Our God has come to us

Rejoice, O sing, for God our King has made a way for us

Emmanuel has come!

The First Noel

Verse 1:
The first Noel, earth and heaven embraced
As a virgin beheld her new born babe
From realms on high to a manger on earth
Salvation had dawned in a lowly birth

Chorus:
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel

Verse 2:
The Son of God, in kindness He came
As a friend to the hopeless, the lost, and the lame
Our sins He bore yet His name we despised
And the hands that brought healing were pierced as He died

Verse 3:
The Author of Life, there lifeless He lay
As the grave cast its shadow and darkness reigned
Then out of death broke forth a great light
As He rose up in victory, the glorious Christ

There Is A Fountain

Verse 1:

There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel's veins
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains
Lose all their guilty stains
Lose all their guilty stains
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains

Verse 4:

E'er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply
Redeeming love has been my theme
And shall be till I die
And shall be till I die
And shall be till I die
Redeeming love has been my theme
And shall be till I die

Verse 5:

When this poor lisping stamm'ring tongue
Lies silent in the grave
Then in a nobler sweeter song
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save
Then in a nobler sweeter song
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save
